Dirk Manning - Co-Host
Best known as the writer/creator of the horror comic series NIGHTMARE WORLD from Image Comics/Shadowline and the inspirational/“how-to” column WRITE OR WRONG for www.Newsarama.com, which has now been collected in book form as WRITE OR WRONG: “A Writer’s Guide to Creating Comics” (Transfuzion Publishing). He is also the writer of TALES OF MR. RHEE and LOVE STORIES ABOUT DEATH (both of which can be read for free at www.ShadowlineOnline.com), the writer/co-creator of the FARSEEKER (www.ACTIVATEcomix.com) and the writer of “The Hunger” for the popular YouTube horror film series BlackBoxTV. Don't let his tongue-in-cheek photo of the guy in the black hat and scarf fool you, though, as he's a very approachable guy, with more and more con-goers every year coming to discover how much they enjoy his work and panel presentations – even if they don’t typically consider themselves fan of “horror comics.” Take our word for it: No trip to Artist Alley is complete without swinging by to talk to Dirk Manning!
